E-commerce SEO that sells from the category page.
Most stores lose organic sales to their own filters, thin categories and missing product data. We fix the architecture, tame faceted navigation and make your products stand out in results, so search engines spend their time on the pages that make money.

What e-commerce SEO covers
Category architecture
A structure that matches how shoppers search, so each category and sub-category has a clear job and a keyword to win.
Faceted navigation control
Filters that help shoppers without generating thousands of thin URLs: canonicals, noindex and crawl rules applied filter by filter.
Product page SEO
Titles, descriptions and on-page content that answer buyer questions and rank for product-level searches.
Product schema
Price, availability, rating and brand data that make listings eligible for rich results and earn more clicks.
Technical health at scale
Crawl budget, pagination, site speed and indexation across large catalogues.
Shopify and WooCommerce expertise
Platform-specific fixes: duplicate collection paths, tag pages, variants and app bloat.
The faceted navigation problem
Filters for size, colour, price and brand are great for shoppers, but every combination can create its own URL. A category with five filters of five values each can produce thousands of near-identical pages.
Search engines then waste their crawl on those variants instead of your real categories and new products, ranking signals get split, and the pages that should rank end up weaker. On a growing catalogue this happens quietly, month after month.
Fixing it without losing long-tail sales
The answer isn't to block every filter. Some combinations, like "waterproof hiking boots under £100", have real search demand and deserve to rank. We decide filter by filter.
| Fix | What it does | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Indexable landing page | Unique title, copy and links for a valuable filter | Facets with genuine search demand |
| Canonical tag | Consolidates signals to the main category | Useful variants with no search demand |
| Noindex | Keeps the URL out of search results | Low-value combinations |
| Crawl rules | Stops bots wasting time on parameters | Sorting, session and tracking parameters |
Making product listings stand out
Structured data puts price, stock and star ratings directly into search results. A listing that shows "In stock · 4.7 rating" earns more clicks than a plain blue link.
We add product schema across products and indexed category pages, and pair it with on-page content that answers what shoppers actually ask: sizing, materials, delivery and returns.

- Better click-through
- More of the traffic you already rank for.

Questions we get asked
Do you work with Shopify and WooCommerce?
Yes, both, plus custom and headless platforms. Each has its own SEO quirks, such as Shopify's duplicate collection URLs and WooCommerce's tag and attribute archives, and we fix them at the platform level.
Should filtered pages be indexed?
Only the ones with real search demand. Those get unique titles and copy. The rest are canonicalised or noindexed so they don't waste crawl or split ranking signals.
How do you measure e-commerce SEO?
Organic revenue and transactions first, then non-brand traffic to categories and products, and rankings for commercial terms.
Can you help with product feeds too?
Yes. We make sure your structured data and Merchant Center feed agree, which helps both organic product listings and AI shopping results.
