DS.Search Free SEO audit

Technical SEO, fixed rather than reported.

Most technical audits end as a spreadsheet nobody actions. We build and host websites, so we fix the problems ourselves: crawl waste, indexation gaps, slow pages, broken schema. Your content gets the chance to rank.

What technical SEO covers

  • Crawl and indexation

Robots, sitemaps, canonicals, redirects and parameter handling, so search engines find and index the right pages.

  • Core Web Vitals and speed

Image, font and script optimisation, caching and hosting fixes that make pages fast on real phones.

  • Structured data

Organization, LocalBusiness, Service, Product, FAQ and medical schema, valid and consistent across the site.

  • Site architecture

Logical URL structure, internal linking and navigation that concentrate authority where it matters.

  • JavaScript SEO

Making sure content rendered by JavaScript frameworks is actually seen by search engines.

  • Security and hygiene

HTTPS, mixed content, broken links, spam injections and hacked-page clean-up.

Why technical problems cap your rankings

You can have the best content in your market and still not rank if search engines can't crawl, render or understand it. Technical issues act like a ceiling: everything else you invest in only works up to that point.

The common culprits are pages blocked or not indexed, duplicate versions of the same page, slow mobile performance, broken structured data and redirect chains left over from old redesigns.

Signs the problem is technical, not content

Good content that won't rank usually points to the infrastructure underneath it. These are the warning signs we look for first in Search Console and a crawl.

"Crawled, currently not indexed"
Google found the page but chose not to index it, often duplication or weak signals.
Indexed pages you didn't create
Parameter, tag or filter URLs soaking up crawl attention.
Failing Core Web Vitals
LCP over 2.5 seconds, INP over 200ms or CLS over 0.1 on mobile.
Rich results missing
Schema that's invalid, incomplete or contradicts the page.

Audits that turn into fixes

We start with a full crawl and a review of Search Console, then rank every issue by its effect on traffic and revenue. Then we fix them, in code where we host the site, or alongside your developers where we don't.

AreaTypical fixes
IndexationRemove thin and duplicate URLs, fix canonicals, submit clean sitemaps
SpeedModern image formats, lazy loading, removing render-blocking scripts
SchemaValid, connected entity markup with consistent business details
RedirectsCollapse chains, fix loops, recover links pointing at dead pages
SecurityClean spam injections, harden the CMS, return 410 for junk URLs

Questions we get asked

Do you just send a report?

No. The audit is the starting point. We implement the fixes ourselves wherever we have access, and work directly with your developers where we don't.

Can you fix a hacked or spammed website?

Yes. We remove injected content, close the hole, return the right status codes for junk URLs and help Google re-crawl the clean site. More on recovery.

Do you work with WordPress, Shopify and custom sites?

Yes. We work across WordPress, Shopify, Wix and custom builds, including JavaScript frameworks like React, and we build fast static and PHP sites ourselves.

Why are my pages "crawled, currently not indexed"?

Google has visited the page but decided it isn't worth indexing yet. Common causes are near-duplicate pages, conflicting canonicals, thin content and weak internal linking. We find which applies and fix the cause, rather than just resubmitting the URL.

Do Core Web Vitals affect rankings?

They are a ranking signal, but a modest one. The bigger effect is on people: slow or jumpy pages lose visitors before they enquire. We fix speed for both reasons.

How often should a technical audit be done?

A full audit at the start, then continuous monitoring. Most sites also benefit from a deeper review after any redesign, migration or major content change.
